Jennifer Zwagerman Biography
Jennifer Zwagerman is the Director of the Agricultural Law Center at Drake University Law School in Des Moines, IA. In her role with the Center she works on various projects, with a particular interest in rural development, and teaches food and agricultural law classes. A 2004 graduate of Drake Law School, Jennifer also received her LL.M. in Agricultural Law from the University of Arkansas and an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Communications from Michigan State University. After completing her legal studies, she served as a law clerk to Judge David Hansen, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and then joined the Des Moines office of Faegre & Benson (n/k/a Faegre Drinker). At Faegre she was an attorney in the general litigation group, with a national practice in food and agricultural law. Jennie spent the 2010-2011 school year at Drake as the Faegre & Benson Visiting Scholar before leaving practice and joining Drake full-time in 2011. In addition to her role with the Agricultural Law Center, Jennie is also Drake Law’s Director of Career Development. She served as President of the American Agricultural Law Association, served a two-year term on the NALP Board of Directors, and is active in her state and local bar associations.
